How can we as a church become a sanctuary; a place where individuals living with mental health challenges feel safe, supported, and a sense of belonging? The Sanctuary series for Catholics was created to inspire and equip communities of faith that are asking this important question. Developed in consultation with mental health professionals, theologians, and people with lived experience, this eight-session study guide explores key mental health topics and examines meaningful ways to offer companionship, support recovery, and promote wellbeing.
SJN will rotate with St James on screening the videos and beginning a conversation on the video topics after screening. The dates are as follows: 1/11/24 @ SJN, 1/16/24 at St James, 1/25/24 @ SJN, 1/30/24 @ St James, 2/8/24 @ SJN, 2/13/24 @ St James, 2/22/24 @ SJN, and 2/27/24 at St James. Times are from 6:30-8:00PM. Please plan to attend these sessions. It is our hope to grow into a sanctuary where all feel safe and supported.
